Our Favorite Local Parks in Washington
We know that we are lucky to call Washington home; our state not only thrives with good jobs and great communities, but a beautiful landscape with so many beautiful places to discover. Each of the Conner Homes communities we design are nearby a number of outdoor recreation options, including local, state, and even national parks. We’ll go through a few of our favorites!
Mount Rainier National Park: Travelers from all around the world visit Rainier. Rising to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier is both an active volcano and the highest peak in the contiguous U.S.
Mt Rainier is near our soon to be open community Conner Homes at Tehaleh in Bonney Lake. Also nearby Tehaleh is Lake Tapps, Flaming Geyser State Park, and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort.
Juanita Bay Park: with walking paths and trails, access to Lake Washington, picnic tables great for groups… this park has a little bit of everything you need to enjoy some time outdoors.
Our luxury community, Heron in Kirkland is just around the corner from Lake Washington Access at Juanita Bay. Also nearby are a variety of community parks such as Juanita Woodlands Park and Saint Edward State Park.
Westcrest Park: this park is a hidden gem in South Seattle. It has a view platform with a great panoramic view of the city skyline, flat open meadow, with a short walking path, and a dog off-leash area.
Our communities, Materra and Altamura (coming soon) are nearby this community park in South Seattle. Also nearby: Lincoln Park and Rainier Gold and Country Club.
Parks can be enjoyed year-round, even in when the weather takes a turn in Autumn and Winter, enjoy how the seasons breathe new life into the green areas. Discover the beauty and fun and explore our shared outdoor space. Enjoy!
